“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.” (II Cor. 1:3-4 NIV)

Welcome to Comfort Café, a website offering hope, help, and healing for women facing difficult life challenges. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, recovering from loss, or simply need an encouraging word for the day, we invite you to set aside some time to nourish your soul. My prayer is that the Lord would meet you in a special way today, that you would be reassured of His love, and that you would find new strength and courage to persevere.

If you are seeking prayer support, visit Bible.com Ministries’ Prayer Room, which provides a vibrant online community. Their intercessors consider it a privilege to seek God on your behalf.

LIFE STORIES

Traveling the lonely road of grief and loss is heartbreaking, and Vickie Richey writes poignantly about her experience in The Journey. She possesses a wonderful ability to express herself and is not afraid to be vulnerable.

From Wreck to Riches is how Bridget Gazlay describes herself in a story of how she discovered the Lord’s goodness through severe physical challenges.

Tracey Finney, in Pregnant, Depressed, and God’s Peace, offers encouragement to women suffering from postpartum depression.

HUMOR, HUGS, AND HOPE

With busy schedules, we need wisdom in balancing activity and relaxation. Cyndy Salzmann insists that it’s okay to slow down in Rest is Not a Four-Letter Word.

ARTICLES

Many of you are already fans of Victoria Gaines’ writing. I am happy to introduce her new column titled, The Healing Hearth. HEALTH TIP

Readers, I suffered for years from debilitating migraines that would put me to bed for days at a time. This book is the best help I’ve ever come across on the subject, and believe me, I tried everything. What David Buchholz advocates, works. I now live migraine- and headache-free most of the time and do not use medication. My heart goes out to those of you who suffer from such debilitating headaches. Prayers, Ruth
